Curtis' Forward PASS Program Continues to Score Big with Youth Reading Challenge

Since its inception in 2011, Curtis’ Forward PASS program has been nothing short of a success, and this year senior lacrosse player Ryan McGhie has taken a pivotal role.

McGhie and PASS (Preparing to Achieve and Sustain Success) coordinator Joe Baratta teamed up with the Community Learning School Initiative, the Rashad Jennings Foundation and the HEALTH for Youths organization to sponsor an elementary school reading challenge.

"Everyone always hears about the bad things that happen at schools," added Baratta. "But the athletes at Curtis are doing amazing things for the community, so we want to give them some recognition for their hard work.”
