Curtis High School - Forward P.A.S.S. Youth Empowerment Day
On Saturday, April 22nd 2017, the student-athletes of the Curtis High School Forward P.A.S.S. Program hosted a Youth Empowerment Day. The event featured various workshops and guest speakers intended to empower young people. Over 75 young middle and high school students attended and enjoyed the day.
Curtis High School Spring College Tour
In 2015 I collaborated with Curtis High School community school partners to take 30 students on a college tour which also included a leadership workshop and professional networking event. During that initial trip we visited Georgetown, Howard, and the University of Maryland. The success of that event spurred trips in future years to Boston, Philadelphia, and a return trip to Washington DC/Baltimore.
