Curtis Gridders Continue to Give Back with Flag Football Clinic

For the past six years, members of the Curtis High School football team in conjunction with the United Sports Youth League (USYL) have been running a flag football clinic at Bloomingdale Park.

The clinic is part of the Forward PASS (Preparing to Achieve and Sustain Success) program started in 2011 at Curtis by coach Joseph Baratta. Community service is one of the key components of the program, which gives student-athletes an opportunity to showcase their abilities off the field as well as on it. The intention is to create successful high-school students who will be leaders in the school and contributing members to the community.
